About the Codex
About The Inner Mirror
The Inner Mirror is an interactive self-reflection experience. It borrows the visual language of an old illuminated codex and the ideas of Carl Gustav Jung — archetypes, the Persona, the Shadow and the long work of individuation — to help you notice patterns in how you meet the world.
It is a mirror, not a verdict. You are the final authority on your own experience; a reflection can be useful even where it is wrong, because your disagreement tells you something too.
Chapter I
Faithful to Jung, honest about what is ours
- Jung’s own concepts
- Archetypes as inherited patterns of the collective unconscious; Persona; Shadow; Anima/Animus; the Self; individuation.
- Later interpretation
- The specific set of twelve archetypes (from Margaret Mark and Carol S. Pearson, 2001), each linked on its page to the Jungian figure it draws on.
- Built for this product
- The questionnaire, the weighted scoring, and the rules that suggest Persona, Shadow and Tension themes. Jung did not create them, and they are not validated psychometric instruments.
Chapter II
Private by design
You never need an account. As a guest, your reflections, results and journal are kept only in the browser you use, for 24 hours. If you create a free account, they are stored privately in it — readable only by you — so you can keep them and open them on any device. Personal writing is never part of the anonymous statistics. You can export or delete everything in Settings.
Chapter III
What it is not
It is not therapy, not a clinical assessment and not a diagnosis. It never labels you or anyone you write about. If you are struggling, please reach out to someone you trust or a qualified professional.
